Latifa Leak

Born and raised in New York City Latifa Leak was always intrigued by fashion . Her mother being a Professional African dancer kept her involved in the arts whether it was dancing along side of her as a member of the Babatunde Olatunji And The Drums of Passion or attending Harlem School of the Arts as a theater major. Being surrounded by costumes and design, her love for fashion grew. Latifa would go off to attend Brooks College where she would receive her degree in Fashion Design. Putting her design background to use, Latifa would go on to make prom dresses for young ladies graduating Junior High and High school. Soon after, she realized that designing and garment constructing wasn't the direction that she wanted to take. She gravitated more towards putting together styling concepts and dressing individuals. That's when she realized she wanted to become a fashion stylist. Attending fashion shows during New York Fashion Week and at networking events trying to create a name for herself, she would get her start when local photographers would call on her to style Photo shoots with aspiring models. At that time LaLeak Imaging was born. Latifa wanted to create a company that provided multiple services such as fashion, hair and makeup styling, personal shopping and Image consulting not only for the up and coming model and artist who were looking to build on their portfolio but for the everyday business professional looking to establish an image for themselves within their fields.
Currently expanding the hairstyling branch of LaLeak Imaging, Latifa's work can be seen on top Influencers, entertainers, radio and TV personality such as Angela Simmons, RaVaughn, Malaysia Pargo, and Angela Yee just to name a few. Latifa's work has also been seen on media and hair care campaigns including Beautiful Textures, PYNK Magazine, Fashion Bomb Daily, Black Enterprise.com and Essence.com "When you look good, you feel good" is Latifa's motto and as she continues to embark on this Journey, she is looking forward to perfecting her craft and watching the LaLeak Imaging brand grow.
